Arts Across Arkansas is a mentorship program that encourages, enhances and expands high-school students’ original thoughts, processes, personal experiences and artistic abilities. Educators and/or administrators nominate students who demonstrate talent, skill or dedication to a creative field. The statewide program’s goal is to give students the opportunity to be rewarded for their original creative works. Students who participate in the program must participate in the state final event. more

January is Healthy Weight Month so becoming physically active has proven to help with achieving and maintaining a healthy weight. We live in Arkansas, so the weather is always changing from cold to warm. We may want to act like bears that lounge, sleep, and over-eat, but one look in the mirror or that out-of-breath feeling brings us back to the realization that healthy eating and physical activity are important. People of all ages who are generally inactive can improve their health and well-being by becoming active with moderate intensity on a regular basis.
