The Batavia Ladies Friendship Club met Monday, May 1, at the Batavia First Baptist Church. There were 17 ladies present for the luncheon hosted by Patricia Wray. Roll call was answered by members mentioning a song with a flower in the title. Margery Carson’s devotional was titled “Excuse this House” which told of the joys and priorities of being a mother and contained a passage of how thankful we should be living in America. We enjoy we take for granted in our every day lives. The group sang some gospel songs and held a plant sale. There were flower and vegetable plants that were taken home.
