When two complete strangers pass, both wearing Vietnam Veteran hats – there’s always a brief glance and a quick nod. This encounter last less than a microsecond yet, without sharing a word, they have communicated volumes. These warriors share a deep bond that people who have never earned one of these hats will never understand. It’s a private club where you must have eaten some of the same dirt, made some of the same sacrifices, shared some of the same losses and experienced some of the same discrimination to be a member. Doesn’t make any difference what rank or color uniform you wore, you belong.
