Posted

The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce has added two additional staff to focus on its economic development mission through leadership, education, and investor relations.

Chamber President/CEO Bob Largent announced that Amy Deere has assumed the new position of manager, investors, diversity and communications.

“Amy will further engage our valued member-investors to provide a greater ROI for their investment. She’ll promote diversity in our entrepreneurial endeavors for women and minority-owned small businesses, as she articulates the history and vision for Harrison and Boone County. Along with these two responsibilities, Amy will also focus and coordinate the Chamber’s multimedia communications endeavors. She brings a variety of talents to accomplish this multifaceted role.”

Also joining the Chamber team as a project management intern is Marie Kershaw. Kershaw is a home-schooled rising senior and a graduate of the Youth Leadership Academy’s Class XXIII this past month.

Largent said, “Marie will be responsible for coordinating the Chamber’s leadership programs, developing new approaches to investor education and coordinating various Chamber projects on a part-time basis as she completes her high school education.”

Both positions will report to Wilson Marseilles, director of investors and marketing for the Chamber.

Marseilles added, “This Chamber has been proving over the last two years that we can and will have an impact on the business, community, and economic development of our area. We're building the capacity to do more — Amy and Marie will enable our team to continue doing what we do best: Taking care of business."
