Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election began on Monday, Oct. 21. According to Deputy Clerk Penny Goodman, the total number of votes cast was 12,254 during the early voting period. As of 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5, a total of 15,628 votes had been cast — accounting for 62% of Boone County's registered voters.
