The Friends of the Berryville Library have begun selling tickets for their upcoming fall raffle. The “Fun, Frills, and Fanatics Fall Raffle” features chances to win cash prizes, a Razorback gift basket, and a beautiful handmade quilt. The seven winners for the raffle will be drawn on December 9 at 3pm. Tickets are $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. You can designate which of the raffle items you want to place your chances on when you purchase your tickets.
Midwest Equipment Rental and Sales, located in Green Forest, generously donated $1,000 to be used as cash prizes in the raffle. Five lucky winners will each receive $200 cash.
Friends historian Carol Ann Engskov has assembled a beautiful gift basket full of donated Razorback memorabilia that includes tickets for two to both an Arkansas Razorback basketball and baseball game this season, as well as several pieces of now priceless 1994 Razorback memorabilia. In addition to some fun Razorback décor and accessories donated by local businesses, the baskets will include an official 1994 championship baseball cap, license plate, a stuffed Razorback, and a copy of the book 40 Minutes of Hell by author Ernie Wood.
The final raffle prize will be a beautiful handmade quilted wall hanging made by Sue Hammer. Titled “Dancing Girls,” the quilt creatively repurposes 18 ladies’ handkerchiefs as skirts for 18 dancing girls. Measuring approximately 54 inches wide and 72 inches long, the quilt could fit on a twin or standard full bed or be used as a wall hanging.
Tickets are on sale now through December 9 at the Berryville Library, located at 104 Spring Street. December 9 is the annual Friends Christmas Bake sale, and the winner will be drawn during the bake sale at 3pm. You do not have to be present to win.
All proceeds from the raffle will help support the Berryville Library Building Project.
