Post-World War II was an exciting time in America. Over 12 million of our service men and women returned home to find the economy booming, plenty of jobs and affordable housing. Perhaps the thing that drew their attention most was the look, power and speed offered by a wide variety of awesome cars. For the first time, the infrastructure and means were in place to travel long distances in style for very little money. “See the USA in your Chevrolet” became one of the most memorable advertising slogans in history.
