Harp’s Foods, NAPAC and Mercy Mall to hold food drive

Posted

Harp’s Foods, along with North Arkansas Performing Artists Coalition (NAPAC), are partnering with The Mercy
Mall of Harrison Arkansas to assure a happy holiday season for all of our neighbors in Boone and the surrounding counties. The Holiday Harvest campaign will help to fill the pantry at Mercy Mall with food donations for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
With an ever increasing number of individuals who are food insecure and the rising costs of food and other essentials, Mercy Mall and NAPAC are working together with Harp’s Foods to provide food and resources to local
individuals in need for the upcoming holiday season.
Since 2010, Mercy Mall has been a Harrison resource for those who are experiencing hardship. Mercy Mall provides assistance primarily with food and hygiene products, as well as clothing and shoes when available, all at
no cost, and nobody is ever turned away.
Harp’s Foods is an employee owned business with two locations in the local area, one at the Ozark Crossing Mall in Harrison, and one on Hwy.62/65 south of Bellefonte. In addition to hosting a food drive, each store location will be providing a $250.00 gift certificate, to be given away during the Holiday Harvest.
NAPAC is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit organization based in Harrison, licensed to operate KBHQ-FM - a Community Radio Station at 100.7 FM, and online at www.qrockfm.com. Since 2015, KBHQ-FM plays an all-request Classic
Rock format from the 1960’s through today, featuring area news, radar weather, entertainment news, contests and giveaways. KBHQ does not sell advertising, and is supported entirely through donation and sponsorship.
The mission of NAPAC is to promote Independent music, while supporting school music programs.

With a population of 37,301, Boone County has 6,528 people of all ages living below the Federal Poverty Line (FPL) and of those, 2,048 of them are children under age 18. The population in Boone County that did not have
access to a reliable source of food during the past year is more than 6,000. (Statistics from Arkansas Department of Health).
The “Holiday Harvest” campaign is an on air radio promotion. Live broadcast food drives will be set up at participating sponsor locations, encouraging listeners to donate non perishable food items for the chance to win a
$250.00 gift certificate. Every bag of donated groceries worth $25 or more is an entry into a drawing for the gift
certificate, and two will be awarded.
Sponsorships are still available. For more information, please contact NAPAC before Nov. 30.
