Iva Marie Nichols, age 93, of Valley Springs, passed away Friday Nov. 23 (2018) in Harrison.

The daughter of Heasell and Inez (Trew) Wheeler was born on Nov. 12, 1925, in Climax, Nebraska.

Iva was a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley Springs and was a member of the Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Nichols; her siblings, Walter Wheeler, Orell Wheeler, Keith Wheeler, Roy Wheeler, Ildie Blixt, Nellie Knott and Hattie Johnson; a grandson, Mike Nichols; and several great-grandchildren.

Iva is survived by her children, Judy Brown (Charles), Donnie Nichols (Louise), Ruby Lee Godfrey (Ronald) and Bill Nichols (Susie); 11 grandchildren, Pamela Brown, Keith Brown (Rhonda) LaVeta Lipscomb (Paul), Sharla Caves (Butch), Archie Nichols (Crystal), Gavin Godfrey, Ronalee Coppock (Jonathan), Ronelle Tallant (David), Garren Godfrey (Erica), Sarah Underdown (Rob) and Becki Graves (Josh); 34 great-grandchildren, Shawn Green (Jessica), Aaron Green (Katie), Eric Green, Kaitlin Hunnicutt, Ethan Brown, Kiah Keller (Michael), Ryan and Anthony Lipscomb, Justin Hopelian (Tori), Rylee Garske, Billy Caves (Ariel), Colton Nichols, Alexys, Tyler and Trystan Godfrey, Scott, Gabe, and Chloe Coppock, Elayna, Xander, Zeke, Xavier and Zach Tallant, Roman, Oden, and Avalynn Godfrey, Addy, Cade and Zane Nichols, Katie and Logan Underdown, Makenzie, Eli and Archer Graves; four great-great-grandchildren, Corbin and Paisley Green, and Raeleigh and Abel Green; and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday Dec. 3, at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Carl Garvin officiating. Visitation will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Maplewood Cemetery in Harrison.

Pallbearers include Gavin Godfrey, Garren Godfrey, Keith Brown and Archie Nichols.
