Posted

JJ’s Buffalo Bar & Grill has opened at 8800 Highway 7 South just past Hwy. 206. Jason and Scarlett Phifer own about 11 acres of land in that area plus another business. “This is something we’ve wanted to do for a long time,” she said. “We wanted to build a place we’d both like to go to and spend time.

The Phifers hosted a ribbon cutting with the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday, April 6, and treated the ambassadors and guests to samples of their delicious “handhelds.” The menu covers various types of burgers, including the Ponca Burger, Erbie Egg Burger and the Boxley BLT. The Pruitt Patty Melt and Carver Chicken. Four kinds of wings and salads round out the main menu items. The “handhelds” include mozzarella sticks, fried pickles mushrooms, fried green tomatoes and nachos. Chips with salsa and queso, chicken tenders, loaded fries, and onion rings are a delicious addition. Desserts and a kids menu is also available.

Joan Bell represented the Chamber and said, “We are super excited to welcome your business to the community. Thank you for joining us. We are here for you.”

Harrison Mayor, Jerry Jackson said, “Welcome and add on as soon as you can!”

Jason said, “We appreciate everyone coming and look forward to serving the community. We are encouraged from all the support we’ve received and now we can tell everyone, ‘We are open!’ We’ve already talked about expanding and the family activities we can offer in the future.”

Scarlett said, “We had a dream and are living it. We appreciate Davis Construction and we have the best staff anyone could ask for.”

JJ’s Buffalo Bar & Grill is open seven days a week. Sunday-Thursday is 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekends. “We had a full house watching the ball game the other night, so we stayed until it was over,” she said. The phone number is 870-204-5100.
