Kinetic by Windstream reopens retail store

Posted

Kinetic by Windstream hosted a grand re-opening of the retail store in downtown Harrison on April 15.

Windstream business sales consultant Dottie Hoppis said, “We opened this last year, but due to COVID we had to postpone the opening.

Chamber board member, Mike Nabors said, “On behalf of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, we want to welcome you to the Chamber. It’s a great day and glad we can put the last year behind us. It’s also a great day we can join together to welcome Kinetic by Windstream a second time. We are so appreciative of your business and wish you great success as you reopen.

Harrison mayor Jerry Jackson, “Thank you for all the wonderful jobs you provide in Harrison.” Jackson said he had received a phone call 30 minutes prior from a realtor who had a customer ask about internet service at a home close to where Jackson used to live. The realtor was surprised that a buyer would ask about internet service as a condition for purchasing a home.”

Local manager for Windstream Northwest Arkansas, Tom Harris said, “We appreciate you coming out today. I’m so glad COVID has eased up enough that we can be here and reopen the store. It’s a great day for Harrison and Windstream. It’s unreal what we have done the last couple of years. We’ve added gig services to more than 5,400 locations in Harrison. We added 1,200 just last year. And there is a lot more coming. We have ten-year plans on builds and it’s going to be wonderful.”

“Windstream has nearly 200 employees working and living in this community. I think it’s a great fit. We have a great history here. In this building, it was demolished in 1970. We rebuilt. We are Boone County Telephone, Allied Telephone, Alltel and now Windstream. I look forward to another 20 years. Also in this building, we have four engineers. One of them has been here 45 years. His wife has been here 44 years with many others 25-30 years. We’ve got deep roots in Boone County. When it comes to history and family that’s Windstream. And Windstream is Harrison,” Harris said.

Retail sales manager Suzanna Valdez said, “We’ve made so many changes. In the short time we’ve had this store, I can see how tight knit the community is. We look forward to serving your needs with our great staff.

The Windstream retail store is located at 107 S. Pine and open 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Call 870-743-2700 for information.
