New Forest Service chief shares plan

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tom Schultz released his first statement as the 21st Chief of the National Forest Service this week. Schultz has over 25 years of land management experience. He described his credentials in his statement, “Working for state agencies in Montana and Idaho has given me a perspective on the role of the states in managing public trust lands and how that differs from goals and objectives in managing federal lands.”
