Greetings from Capps. We had fall, spring and now winter returning all in the same week last week, very confusing. It looks like we had around 14 inches of snow at our place just outside Capps. There were a few accidents on Tuesday night, one of which closed Highway 392 for several hours. Traffic was rerouted onto Old Capps Road during that time. Thanks to all the road crews and first responders who had a busy night. As of this morning, (Wednesday) our power is still out. We lost power on Creel Road about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday during the storm. Thankfully, we have gas and wood heat so candles and early bedtime for us. Neighbor Ken Clements is coming to clear our driveway so we'll have access to the main road soon. Our Dexter/Mini-Hereford cross, Gracie, lost her calf last week at about 4 months. We were pretty bummed out but God must have a reason. Not sure if we'll rebreed her before summer or not. We visited our friend, Russell Faddis at Mount Vista last Saturday. He was pretty torn up about the passing of his younger sister, Wanda, that morning. She was the last of his living siblings and a longtime resident of Capps. Until next time, blessings, Doug
