LITTLE ROCK—AARP Arkansas knows that knowledge is the only way to fight scam artists and fraudsters, but an event about an often-frightening topic does not have to be scary. With food, drinks, music and a panel of compelling experts, event attendees will leave armed to tackle the next phony email or high-pressure sales call. Scam Jam 2024 is free and open to the public on Thursday, Oct. 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the University of Central Arkansas’ Brewer-Hegeman Conference Center (located next door to Arkansas PBS at 350 S. Donaghey Ave., Conway).
