Weather permitting, The Searcy County Historical Society will meet Friday, January 24, at 7 p.m. in Marshall’s First Christian Church. The speaker will be Dr. Kenneth C. Barnes who will speak on the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad Strike, 1921-1923. He has recently completed “Mob Rule in the Ozarks; the Missouri and North Arkansas Railroad Strike, 1921-1923" published by the University of Arkansas Press and he will have copies for sale.
