The National Weather Service reported the Boone and Newton County areas received from 10 to 14 inches of snow between Tuesday, Jan. 24 and Wednesday Jan. 25. Entergy brought in additional staff members to accommodate repairing the expected power outages due to the very heavy, wet snowfall.
