Ten for 10 Training

Posted

Entrepreneurs Keeton and Lexie Tennison have returned to Harrison and been very successful with their Ten for 10 Training program for children from the age of kindergarten through college. The sports performance training program has the slogan, “Turning dreams into reality.”

The Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce and the Keetons hosted a ribbon cutting on March 18, to welcome the business as an “investor” in the Chamber. Board chairman, Melissa Collins said, “I’m showing my age when I tell you that I remember watching you play basketball in high school. We are so happy that you have moved back here and not only have opened a successful business but are helping the youth of the area.”

Tennison said, “We had a goal of giving kids a sports outlet with a variety of drills, speed, agelity and weight room training. We are very excited to be back and be a part of Harrison.”

Currently located in the Winkler Center on the Cottonwood Road side of the building, there is a lot of room for kids to play volleyball, basketball, baseball and many other sports under the watchful eye of a dedicated coach. Dustin Ladyman is one the coaches/trainers on the baseball side.

The Tennisons have recently expanded into Mountain Home and opened a branch there. The couple plan to build their own facility this year, but for now, enjoy the tall ceilings and space of the former warehouse facility.

The couple enjoys planting the seeds of healthy living in children and look forward to building a healthier future. They hope to add a snack bar of protein shakes and healthy snack choices in the new location.

Chamber president/CEO delivered a welcome from Harrison Mayor Jerry Jackson. “Jerry was sad he wasn’t able to be here today, but asked me to tell you “Welcome and he is so grateful for what you are providing for the youth of the community and said, You Rock!”

The Facebook page states, “Ten-10 is rooted in science and backed by results. Founder/CEO, Keeton Tennison, was a highly decorated and successful player at Southern Arkansas University where he earned his Bachelors in Exercise Science / Strength plus Conditioning Specialist. "Turning Dreams Into Reality" has become a common phrase as we continue to enhance our kids' athletic endeavors and be a positive influence in their lives in a time where mental and physical health can be a challenge.”

Adults are welcome to drop in on Sunday and Wednesday nights for pick-up games.

Costs and class schedules can be found on their website or Facebook page or through the Mind & Body app. Visit the website at tenfor10training.com or call 318-265-3784 or 870-416-5798.
