Vaccination clinic for Northark students

Posted

Current and recently admitted North Arkansas College students ages 16 and up will have a chance to get a COVID-19 vaccination next week.

According to Northark officials, a vaccination clinic is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, in the John Paul Hammerschmidt Conference Center on the Northark South Campus.

Students should check their email for details on how to sign up. There is no out-of-pocket cost to students, but they should bring their insurance card to the clinic. Students will be asked to remain on-site for a short observation period. Northark admissions and financial aid staff will be available to assist students who want to register for summer or fall classes while they are on campus.

“The clinics we’ve held on campus this year have brought thousands of people through Northark’s doors,” Northark president Dr. Randy Esters.

Esters can be spotted at the clinic each week overseeing the operation and management to ensure everything runs smoothly.

“We have thoroughly enjoyed hosting the clinics to keep everyone safe and healthy, and we have been eagerly anticipating the day when we could offer the vaccine to our students,” Esters added.

Northark is working in partnership with North Arkansas Regional Medical Center and Boone County Health Department to offer vaccination clinics to improve the health of the community.
