The Watson Family Medical Clinic hosted a ribbon cutting with the Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce on July 1, Thursday.

Ambassador Brian Johnson introduced the Watson Family for the live Facebook event and said,  “Fenae has done a phenomenal job of taking care of my family for the last two years. I can even tell you a story about a fish hook in my son’s ear. They pride themselves with providing exceptional medical care without all the waiting you see at most clinics. A special thanks to her team and husband Anthony for getting prepared for today.”

Watson is a family nurse practitioner and had a clinic in Ridgedale, Missouri for two years before deciding to move to Harrison. She has experience in the field since 1990 and has worked in ICU, CCU and was a traveling nurse for 10 years.

Co-chairman of the Chamber board, Melissa Collins said, “Thank you to the ‘Red Wave’ for being here at the ribbon cutting ceremony. We’ve got so many ambassadors that come out to support our businesses. That means a lot to these new business owners to know they are getting the word out about these new businesses — in this case to accept new patients. You’ve opened this beautiful clinic here at the corner of Speer and McCoy recently but I believe you’ve had a Harrison patient load for some time. We’re really excited to have you located here.”

Mayor Jerry Jackson, “Fanae thank you for coming to Harrison. We are known for great medical care, but we can never have enough because we are constantly growing and always need more. We look forward to you supplying that need.”

Jackson pointed out the Razorback logo on her medical jacket and suggested calling the hogs.

“I was born and raised in Arkansas. So I’m a true ‘Arky.’ I do love taking care of patients. That’s the goal I’ve had my whole life. I’m grateful. This clinic is a dream come true,” she couldn’t keep the tears from welling up in her eyes.

Collins asked her, “What kind of medical services do you provide?

“We provide about anything,” Watson replied. “We can do DOT physicals, COVID testing, paps, stitches —  whatever is needed. It’s a family practice —  that’s what I do. We are taking new patients and glad to be here. We have a great team and I’m so happy to be here.

Watson said, “I appreciate my husband, Anthony. We've been married for 28 years. He’s always so good to help me get the clinic set up. It’s all about the patients and we want to give them good care. All ages. We are very happy to be here.”

“It’s a pleasure to welcome you and your team to the area,” Bob Largent, Harrison Regional Chamber of Commerce CEO/president said. “We always need more health care and more health care services. Taking it up a notch from your team is great. We are pleased you moved from across the state line so you could proudly wear your hog jacket.”
