State police investigating GF murder

GREEN FOREST — The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office and the Arkansas State Police are investigating a murder in Green Forest.
On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Carroll County 911 office transferred a call to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office concerning a body being found on a front porch of a home on Highway 103.
The body of Kevin Rogers, 61, was discovered.
When investigating the incident, agents contacted and interviewed Rogers’ girlfriend.
Ashley Hunt, 32 of Green Forest, provided a statement to investigators that detailed a physical altercation between the two. She struck Rogers in the head with an object.
Hunt was arrested and transported to the Carroll County Detention Center in Berryville.
She was charged with second-degree murder.
The expired body was taken to the Arkansas State Crime Lab in Little Rock. Medical examiners will determine the official cause and manner of death.
The investigation remains active.
