Northark’s Esports team uses state-of-the-art gaming facilities equipped with top-of-the-line hardware and software, allowing players to engage in high-quality gaming experiences. According to coach Logan Amos, the team is a mixture of long-time gamers as well as newcomers. They play in the National Junior College Athletics Association ESports (NJCAAE), at Tier 3. more

Major General Jonathan M. Stubbs, Adjutant General for the Arkansas National Guard, was the featured speaker Friday morning to the Junior and Seniors at Harrison High School. Students gathered in the Performing Arts Center to see Gen. Stubbs share his bio, information about the National Guard, life choices, and character development.  more

A new program with North Arkansas College has great potential to help people in our community by tutoring low-literacy students prepare for the GED test. The program is seeking tutors — those who have some experience or related experience and an interest in teaching. At the tutor’s convenience, the tutor will meet with the student for 1-2 hours weekly at the college. NorthArk hours are Monday – Thursday 8 a.m.—5 p.m. more
Harrison High School administrators were alerted to a gun on campus on Tuesday, April 23. School officials discovered that the student was in possession of a BB gun of the pistol type. more
