Goblins in control of fate

Harrison has two games remaining in the regular season.
Both games are against teams like Harrison — fighting for a playoff spot.
There are four playoff spots from the 5A-West. One has been filled.
Greenwood owns the tie-breakers over all of the teams that are looking for one of the playoff spots with the exception of Alma. The two teams meet in the final game of the season, but a loss by the Bulldogs to the Airedales probably would not matter in the scope of the standings.
Greenwood is 5-0 in league standings and on Friday they face Clarksville. Clarksville has yet to win a contest this season. A Bulldog victory would officially give them the No. 1 seed from the conference for the playoffs.
Farmington is currently second in the league race with a 4-1 record. They play No. 7 Dardanelle on Friday night. A victory over the Sand Lizards would secure the No. 2 seed for the Cardinals.
Both the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will play their first playoff game at home.
The battle for the third and fourth seeds are a little tricky.
Currently, Harrison and Alma are tied for third place with 3-2 conference records. Right behind the pair is Morrilton and Pea Ridge with 2-3 marks.
Morrilton and Pea Ridge play each other on Friday night. The loser of the game will be officially eliminated from playoff hopes.
The winner of the Harrison/Alma game will move into sole-possession of third place with one game left. The winner of that game will then own the tie-breaker over the other team.
Harrison will close the conference season with a home-game against Morrilton.
The team that finishes third in the league race will face the No. 2 from the 5A-South while the fourth seeded 5A-West team will face the winner of the 5A-South.
Currently, there is a three-way for first place in the 5A-South with two teams a game back. Hot Springs Lakeside, Pine Bluff and Camden Fairview are all tied with 4-1 records. Texarkana and White Hall have 3-2 marks.
Last season Harrison was the No. 4 seed from the 5A-West and defeated 5A-East’s top seed, Valley View, on the road.
