LITTLE ROCK — The Arkansas Department of Agriculture is now accepting applications for the 2024 Arkansas Century Farm Program. This program recognizes Arkansas families who have owned and farmed the same land for at least 100 years. The program is voluntary and there is no cost to apply. more

Our community and school mourn the loss of one fine lady, Mrs. Judy Villines, one of our Greenhouse volunteers, passed away Friday, March 29. Judy gave countless hours planting in the greenhouse, sharing her gardening knowledge with all and giving the gift of time to our students. She also volunteered in the Hospitality room during basketball tournaments. Judy’s love for her community and the students of Lead Hill will not be forgotten. more

Greetings from Capps. We trust that everyone had a safe and blessed Easter weekend. Early that morning, Capps Batavia Fire responded to a one car wreck next to the Capps Adventist Church. Thankfully, the driver only appeared to have minor injuries although her vehicle wasn't so lucky. more
As part of an ongoing yearlong celebration of its 50th Anniversary, North Arkansas College invites the public to the south campus on Friday, April 19, 2024, to commemorate the late Dr. Bill Baker. Dr. Baker was the founding college president who became the longest running college president in the state of Arkansas. Dr. Baker was the college’s president for 27 years before he retired in 2000. more

Jerry and Janice Harris returned home from a cruise ship vacation last Friday evening. They teamed up with Todd Rogers' church congregation. They enjoyed the sights and sounds. It was cold here when they first got back home. Janice stated that she would like to be back in the warm weather they had experienced during the cruse. more
