AAA gas price report

The statewide gas price average in Arkansas was $2.84 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel on Thursday, according to the AAA Arkansas Weekend Gas Watch. That price is seven cents more compared to that day last week and is 35 cents less per gallon compared to that day last year.

Bill proposes school substance abuse survey

BULL SHOALS — A proposed bill currently parked in the House Committee on Education would require the state's public schools to participate in the Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment (APNA) Survey, used to assess adolescent substance use and related behaviors, and risk and protective factors that predict these behaviors.

Harrison Fire Department trains life savers

Harrison Fire Department (HFD) participated in extrication training this week. The department practiced extrication using damaged automobiles provided by Crooked Creek Metals, "They go above and beyond to set us up and keep us some extreme scenarios," said HFD.

Taco Tuesday, I had a busy weekend with Thursday getting groceries and was at the church on the hill when 3 little does came out from back of church and went across the road lucky no big truck came along. If you are in Berryville be on the look out for deer and then on Friday night I went and played Bingo in Branson, Mo. and my son came down and drove me back and then Sat. night I went and played Bingo in Oak Grove School House and I won a over the sink strainer. I really enjoyed going and playing close to home and good Bingo and friends get together.
