No. 2024-20-5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF THE COUNTY OF BOONE, STATE OF ARKANSAS, A RESOLUTION TO BE ENTITLED:
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY JUDGE TO APPLY FOR A GRANT ON BEHALF OF HILL TOP VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE QUORUM COURT OF BOONE COUNTY, ARKANSAS:
Whereas, the Boone County Quorum Court has determined that Hill Top community meets eligibility requirements necessary to apply for a grant under the Arkansas Rural Community Grant Programs; and
Whereas, the Hill Top Community has presented plans to purchase a Skid Unit and additional turn out gear and equipment; and whereas, the Quorum Court of Boone County recognizes the need for the project, concurs its importance, and supports the Hill Top Community in its efforts to proceed with the same; and
Whereas, the Hill Top Community has furnished proof that they have raised $14,804,95 through community cash and/or in-kind donations to be applied to the project as a local match;
Be it further resolved, that the County Judge of Boone County is hereby authorized to submit an application of formal request to the Arkansas Rural Development Commission for purpose of securing state grant funds in the amount of $14,804.95 to aid and assist the Hill Top Community in executing the proposed project described herein and that the County Judge or Treasurer of Boone County is further authorized to administer the grant funds for the same project.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED IN REGULAR SESSION ON JULY 9TH, 2024.
In accordance with the requirements of Ark. Code Ann. 14-14-116, this publication is paid for from the budget of the Boone County Quorum Court. The total cost of this publication is $76.25.
