Justin Cutler, 43, and Brittany Pettijean, 34, are safe after the Beechcraft Bonanza airplane they were flying in apparently crash landed Monday afternoon, Dec. 19, in a field located just a half-mile northeast of the Boone County Regional Airport runway. The plane caught fire and burned.

Additionally 19 nursing homes and other institutions have reported influenza outbreaks. The average school absenteeism rate last week was 7.8% among public schools.

When Stan Little, the CEO of Southern Airways, was in town last month, he gave a presentation about the history and current expansion of the commuter airline that has serviced Harrison for the past six years and will more than likely be approved to continue that service another four years, if approved by the FAA. Southern has a built-in pipe line of pilots that is allowing for continued growth within the company.

Northark’s Online Small Business Management program was ranked as the 29th Best Online Small Business Management Program in the U.S. for two- and four-year schools. Intelligent.com ranked Northark as the 3rd Best Community College in Arkansas, noting it as the Best for Online Programs.
