Jo Ann Bailey

Jo Ann Bailey, of Harrison, died peacefully surrounded by her children at the Willard Walker Hospice House in Fayetteville. She was 80 years.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. both on Thursday, July 19, at Ozark Baptist Church in Bergman. Pastor Jamie James will officiate. Burial will be in Alpena Cemetery. Pallbearers are Seth Canady, Jerry Canady, Robert Morrow, James Fancher, Wayne Chase and Wayne Hunter. Honorary pallbearers are Betty Hardin, Wanda Byerley, Joie Gibbins and Karen Greer.

The daughter of Ross and Joyce (Johnson) Mosley was born on Aug. 1, 1937, in Hayes Center, Nebraska.

Jo Ann was a member of Ozark Baptist Church in Bergman. She was very selfless and spent her entire life serving God, family and others. She loved her church and church family. Jo Ann enjoyed cooking, canning, growing flowers, gardening and embroidery. Most importantly her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the apple of her eye.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John David Bailey; her parents; three brothers, Mick, Buck and Dewayne Mosley; and one sister, Wanda Bowdaman.

Survivors include one son and his wife, David Wayne and Ann Bailey; two daughters and their husbands, Linda Jo and Bob Brown and Kim and Bret Bolinger; two grandchildren, Colley Bailey and wife, Amanda and Makenna Bolinger; two great-grandchildren, Layla and Scarlett Bailey; three sisters, Shirley Evans, Priscilla Phillips and husband, Jim, and Judy Graham; her very best friend, Betty Hardin; and several nieces and nephews.
