1:03 a.m. — A caller reported suspicious activity near a dumpster outside Casey’s on Highway 65 North. Officers didn’t locate anything out of the ordinary in the area.
1:38 a.m. — An officer on patrol logged a vehicle with the keys in the ignition parked at Nicholson and Oak.
1:44 a.m. — An officer on patrol logged a male subject who refused to identify himself walking on South Maple.
1:47 a.m. — An officer on patrol logged a juvenile male walking on Capps Road. He was advised of the juvenile curfew ordinance.
1:49 a.m. — An officer on patrol advised he’d be out with three vehicles at the old junior high parking lot. One male subject was notified of a court date for failure to appear in court on driving on a suspended license in Carroll County.
8:30 a.m. — A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on North Maple. He said the driver had been going slowly through the neighborhood for more than an hour and said he was looking for an address that didn’t exist. An officer said the vehicle was gone when he checked the area.
12:38 p.m. — A reckless driver was reported southbound on Highway 65 from Bear Creek Springs. Officers were notified.
12:53 p.m. — An officer on a traffic stop arrested a 24-year-old man for driving on a suspended license, no proof of insurance and improper use of registration. He was later released after posting $1,045 professional bond.
1:16 p.m. — A caller reported possible drug activity. Officers were notified.
2:26 p.m. — A man called to report someone in the attic of his residence threatening him. An officer said no one else was present at the time and the man’s son was notified of his condition.
4:43 p.m. — A female subject called to report her brother punched her at the Days Inn. An officer said the subject was gone when he arrived, but other local law enforcement agencies were asked to watch for him.
4:38 p.m. — A reckless driver on a motorcycle was reported southbound on Highway 65 from Walmart. Officers were notified.
4:38 p.m. — A caller reported a dog running loose on North Maple. Officers were notified.
5:52 p.m. — A caller reported a dog loose on North 3rd Street and a puppy had been hit by a car. An officer said the owner of the dog was cited for dog at large and the information was left for Animal Control to follow up on.
7:04 p.m. — A caller reported a female subject possibly under the influence of a controlled substance walking on West Central, but an officer said the call was unfounded.
7:08 p.m. — A male subject called to report someone had tampered with his vehicle while it was parked outside Walmart. He declined a formal complaint, but asked the officer to note the name of a possible female suspect. About 10 minutes later, that female subject called to talk to an officer about the incident. Information noted.
9:57 p.m. — A man speaking broken English called via 911 to report a problem with his son. Through NARMC’s translation service, the man said he feared an argument might escalate into something worse. An officer spoke with the man, who also declined medical treatment for asthma.
