The Arkansas Historic Preservation Program held a spring cemetery preservation workshop at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Harrison on Saturday. Jonathan Appell of Atlas Preservation in Connecticut was the featured instructor. Holly Hope with the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program (Arkansas Heritage) was the co-ordinator for the event. Harrison city council member Mary Jean Creager, chairperson of the Cemetery Care Committee, also assisted in the event. Cleaning, leveling, and basic repairs of the headstones was demonstrated by Jonathan Appeal during the workshop.
