At the Nov. 16 City Council meeting on Thursday, Mayor Jerry Jackson surprised Harrison Police Chief Chris Graddy with being selected as Boone County Officer of the Year by the Arkansas Attorney General's Office. Chief Graddy will be recognized at a luncheon on Dec. 12 at the Benton Event Center in Saline County. Doors will open at 11 a.m., and the event will begin at noon, at which time Graddy will accept the Boone County Officer of the Year award from Arkansas Attorney General Tim Griffin.
