The "Let Freedom Ring" Independence Day Celebration event was presented by the Harrison Colony Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution on Thursday, July 4 at the Boone County Courtpark. Glenn Redding, a US Naval Reserve Veteran, was the featured speaker. Boy Scout Troop 60 posted the colors, Bellah Burns sang the National Anthem, Dakota Furr was the Town Crier and was a speaker, and Tonya Bardin led the DAR "Bell Ringing" Ceremony.
