North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) closed their Lead Hill rural health clinic — Claude Parrish Community Health Center, in early January, leading many in the Lead Hill area to react with concern. The closure was part of a long-term strategic realignment undertaken by the hospital as it attempts to balance rising costs against low insurance reimbursements. in response, public meetings were organized by some concerned Lead Hill residents, as they lamented the news that their healthcare options would be limited to traveling to Harrison to see their healthcare providers or utilizing remote telehealth services.
