Early Sunday morning, a tornado entered Marion County after damaging several structures in southern Boone County, including the Boone County Law Enforcement Center. The EF-3 tornado brought winds up to 145 mph as it followed US highway 62 to the south, near Pyatt, where it committed extensive tree damage before tossing and destroying mobile homes on county road 4010.
