The Boone County Bible Reading Marathon kicked off on Tuesday, April 230, with 'George Washington' AKA Pastor Jim Bryant speaking to the crowd. The Bible Reading concluded in time for the Boone County National Day of Prayer event was held Thursday evening in the Community Room at the Signature Bank Tower facility.
Pastor Bruce Haynes was the Keynote speaker. The sounding of the Shofar and opening prayer was by Pastor Billy Edgar. Mike Bishop was the emcee for the event and talked about the History and 2024 Prayer Focus.
Trail Life Troop members raised the Colors. Dale Bishop sang the National Anthem. Also providing prayers included Pastor David Williams, Pastor Eric Goff, and Pastor Royce Sweatman.
Boone County Judge Robert Hathaway made the proclamation for May 2nd being Day of Prayer in Boone County. Pastor Bob Jackson gave the Closing Prayer.
