Our compassion and love reaches out to the Susie Davis family. Susie passed away May 20, and funeral services were held at the Batavia Baptist Church. Susie’s pastor did a very good job officiating the service. He shared how Susie loved her church and was very active in whatever was needed to be done for the church. My recollection of Susie is when she worked at the Alpena school. She was always doing something to help out wherever she was needed. Greg Davis and his family came down from Kansas City last weekend bringing tomato and pepper plants to plant in his grandpa Boyce Hankins’ little garden spot. Boyce is not as young and active as he was earlier in life so he appreciates his grandson’s help.
