News from Capps

Greetings from Sayre, Oklahoma, huh? As of this writing, we were working our way back home from Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we visited my mother briefly. Prior to that, we were in Denver, Colorado, where I performed my son's wedding ceremony last Sunday. Needless to say, 2500 miles and a week later, we're bushed. There was plenty of action while we were gone starting with a structure fire between Capps and Batavia that the department responded to last Thursday night. I heard the blow by blow from my motel room in Salina, Kansas, thanks to our new app. Some of the crew didn't make it home until well after midnight. There also a couple vehicle accident calls in Capps and on Highway 65. We heard from our farmsitter friends that the heavens opened frequently, adding to our mud totals. Hopefully we won't return to farm animals floating down the ravine. Remember to let that special someone know how much you love them this Valentines Day. Blessings, Doug
