Greetings from Capps. So glad for the gorgeous weather earlier this week. We saw some crocus blooming and heard the spring peepers near Capps, a sure sign that Spring is on it's way. Our plans to attend the Valentines banquet put on buy Capps Full Gospel were interrupted by a structure fire last Monday night on Twin Stone Lane in Batavia. Myself and a few other firefighters are nursing injuries so we requested mutual aid from Harrison Fire Department, which promptly sent us some much needed manpower. It's nice to know that there are other departments that have your back when you need them. We try to be there when other people need us as well. Due to the challenging driveway, we had to set up our water supply tank on Highway 392 and close off one lane of traffic. It's refreshing to hear of the Revival fires that are burning on some college campuses lately. I'd like to believe that same fire is burning in the Capps Batavia area as people get hungry for a deeper relationship with Christ. I'd like to encourage you to, "Come and see" for yourself. Blessings, Doug
