Newton County Senior Center activities

The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center will host a drive-thru fish fry Friday, March 16, from 3 to 6 p.m. Meals consist of hand breaded fried catfish or chicken strips, coleslaw, pinto beans, jalapeño cheddar, pickled green tomatoes and pear crisp. Cost is $10 per meal. Just drive up and stop at the kitchen door! The center is also hosting the Spare Change Challenge to benefit Meals on Wheels. Jars will be placed around Jasper for collection, or donations can be dropped off at the center. The center also has an online donation system for monetary donations.
