The official kickoff for the Boone County Quilt Trail was held Thursday morning at the Brandon Burlsworth Youth Center in Harrison. Quilt trails, showcasing colorful panel designs predominantly on barns and other outdoor locations, have become an enticing attraction for visitors. Each block panel features a design with a story or symbol as well as serving as a piece of attractive visual art for all to enjoy. Several speakers at the event shared stories behind their own quilt panels.
