In recent weeks, reports have circulated regarding the Sugarloaf Wastewater Treatment plant and allegations of sewage leakage into Bull Shoals Lake. An Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) advisory on May 3 stated that partially treated wastewater made its way into the East Sugarloaf Creek area of Bull Shoals Lake. On Monday, May 22, the ADH advisory was lifted.
