U.S. Civil Rights Movement sites proposed

WASHINGTON — Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland announced on Tuesday that she has authorized the National Park Service to prepare a potential nomination for 11 U.S. Civil Rights Movement sites in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, Virginia and Washington, DC to be added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.
