JASPER — New security fences will be erected at Jasper School District campuses and a long-standing water leak problem on the Jasper campus has been solved, the school district's board of education was informed at its regular meeting March 17.

FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas Department of Higher Education awarded $750,000 to the University of Arkansas to help increase the number of data science certificates and degrees throughout the state. Karl Schubert, the managing director of the U of A Data Science Program, will be the principal investigator on a new program called HIRED.
