he members of Beta Upsilon held their monthly meeting Tuesday, Sept. 5. Beta Upsilon is always accepting new members. We have a great group of people that have fun while supporting our local community and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. We host fund raising projects periodically throughout the year. Recovery is much more than the cessation of alcohol and drug use. Danford Roberts celebrated his 100th birthday Tuesday, Sept. 5. The Navy WWII veteran is a resident at Countryside Assisted Living. The staff held a celebration with cake at Countryside on his special day and members of his church held a party for him Sunday, Sept. 2. Mr. Roberts is active and “stubborn as a mule” according to staff members. more

The 2023 Boone County Fair and Northwest Arkansas District Fair announce the winners of the Fair Pageant and Talent Competition that was held Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Northwest Arkansas District Fairgrounds in Harrison. The pageant crowned two Queens in each age division to reign over the Boone County Fair and the Northwest Arkansas District Fair. There were age divisions for babies all the way up to age 75. more
The Ridge Runner Cloggers' competition team recently attended the USA National Clogging Championships hosted by C.L.O.G. at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. Representing the state of Arkansas, the team joined fellow cloggers from across the country to compete in traditional and contemporary categories, as a team and individuals. Record-breaking attendance included 155 teams representing 91 clogging studios along with numerous independent entries. more
