The Oscars were this month. I’m a movie lover but don’t always watch the awards. When I do, it’s more to check out the beautiful people and pretty dresses than it is to see who wins. I do try to watch the winning films if I haven’t already seen them though. And sometimes I have one I have already seen and am rooting for (looking at you “Banshees of Inisherin” — nine nominations last year and no wins?! Travesty!) more

Addi and I were snowed in for a few days at our house last week due to the winter weather that moved through. The Harrison School District used four snow days last week. We sure have enjoyed the spring like weather this past week. more
The Green House at Lead Hill School is holding a Spring one day sale 8 a.m. today, March 1, and will open regularly on April 5. more

Delbert McCutchen is made for his job.
 The North Arkansas Regional Medical Center (NARMC) employee has been at the Boone County medical center since 2016. His life is a perfect example of what he does every day for the hospital. McCutchen is the director of employee education and training, a position that has to be on the cutting edge of everything that changes in the medical field. 
“I wear a lot of hats,” he said about his position. “I am also the emergency management coordinator.” To see McCutchen’s fit for his role, a look into his background will show the correlation between his life story and his occupation. more
Members of Harrison High School’s Thespian Troupe 2715 attended the Arkansas Thespian Festival in Russellville recently. The Arkansas Thespian Festival is a gathering of school theater students from across the state who have been inducted into the Thespian honor society. During the 3-day event, students attend theater workshops as well as present their own works through one-act and full-length productions. more
